28th Lecture Event of the VFV
“Trends 2023 in the Field of European Food Packaging “
on 25 April 2023 in Aschaffenburg
The VFV Lecture Event takes place on 25 April 2023 in the Stadthalle (Municiple Hall) Aschaffenburg.
On the occasion of the annual general meeting of the research association "Verein zur Förderung der Forschung und Ausbildung für Faserstoff- und Verpackungschemie e.V. (VFV)", a lecture event will take place for the 28th time concerning topical issues in the field of food packaging.
Once more many qualified orators from various sectors of the manufacturing process, the refinement and the analysis of food packaging materials have been invited.
NIAS and MOSH/MOAH are still central issues regarding the evaluation of food packaging materials, especially in terms of recycling. The political framework on recycling was specified by the EU waste package. The further regulation of the recycling process of plastic materials for food contact, which was long-awaited by the EU Commission, came into force last year by means of Regulation (EU) 2022/1616. With the lecture event, we would like to give you an overview of the current, legal activities in the field of food contact materials and their implementation. Next to these topics, the lecture event will also provide again information on trends regarding the manufacture and processing of food contact materials. Here, the focus is also supposed to be on the sensory evaluation. In the field of board and paper, you will be informed about the current activities on national and European levels, regarding which the VFV Association also supports several projects. A topic will also be the demands and their respective implementations of the French Fiche MCDA No. 4 for fibre-based materials.
The conference language is German, however, the presentations are translated simultaneously into English or German.
